A thorough security check was carried out at Nagpur airport, according to officials, and nothing unusual was detected from the grounds, hours after an email containing a bomb threat was received.

An official from the aerodrome stated on Monday that an extensive search was initiated by security personnel in response to an email claiming that a bomb had been hidden at the airport.

No suspicious objects turned up in spite of the thorough check. The authorities did, however, advise that as a precaution, security at the crowded airport was tightened. 

It's noteworthy that this event happened after airports in Jaipur, Kanpur, and Goa earlier in the day got emails with identical bomb threats. At all of these airports, extensive search operations were carried out along with an immediate increase in security.

After receiving the threat through their official email, the airport authorities in Goa filed a report, which led to the participation of the police and bomb squad.
