Forest Department Rescues Tiger Cub from Farm Well Near Navkhala, Chandrapur

A 3-4 month old tiger cub is rescued from a farm well near Navkhala after villagers alert the forest department

Vidarbha,  Chandrapur,  India:  A forest department team rescued a tiger cub from a farm well near Navkhala forest on Wednesday. The cub, aged around 3 to 4 months, has fallen into the well while straying out of the forest with its mother three days ago, it is assumed.

 

The cub was spotted sitting in the cement ring on the well.Ganesh Nanhe and Pralhad Kumbhale heard the sound of an animal from the well direction three days ago when they went to collect firewood, but they neglected it.

 

When they peeped into the well, they noticed the tiger cub on the cement ring. They informed other villagers and the forest department.

 

Under the guidance of RFO Arup Kannamwar, field assistant Tawade Sayyad and others safely rescued the tiger cub from well.
