PTI Vice President Fawad Chaudhry tweeted that the court had been "occupied by the Rangers" and lawyers were allegedly "being subjected to torture." Khan's car was also surrounded, Chaudhry added.

In March, Khan's supporters clashed with police outside his residence in Lahore to prevent his arrest on corruption charges. The incident resulted in several injuries among police officers and party workers, and sparked protests in multiple cities across the country.

Khan has been accused of purchasing gifts, including an expensive Graff wristwatch, at a discounted price from the state depository called Toshakhana while serving as the Prime Minister, and subsequently selling them for profit. These allegations have placed him in the crosshairs of authorities.

The arrest of the former Prime Minister has raised concerns about the state of democracy and the rule of law in Pakistan. The incident has also been met with criticism and condemnation from opposition parties and human rights organizations.
