Four held for Robbing Man of Rs 80,000 Near Maharajbagh

Nagpur, India- Sitabildi police have charged four of the five individuals involved in the robbery of Rs 80,000 from a 31-year-old man at knife-point near Maharajbagh on Wednesday evening. The accused are identified as Satish Gyandeo Gaikwad (29) from Wadoda, Taluka Mankapur, District Buddha; Shabbir alias Monu Barakat Shaik (27) from Rajiv Nagar; Shubham Sahdeo Pathan (27) and Gautam Raju Bhalavi (21), both from IC Chowk, Gedam Layout, MIDC.
The group lured Rahul Vasudev Thakur, a resident of Sushil Nagar, Zingabai Takli, Mankapur, through an advertisement promising Rs 4 lakh on an investment of Rs 1 lakh. Thakur contacted the number 8604306885 provided in the advertisement and was instructed to bring the cash near Maharajbagh. He arrived at around 5:30 PM with Rs 80,000.
The robbers, along with an accomplice, threatened Thakur with a knife, snatched his bag of cash, and assaulted him. Thakur's cries for help alerted his uncle and friend, who were nearby, as well as patrolling police officers. The officers managed to apprehend four of the robbers, while one accomplice escaped. The police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation.
