A tragic incident occurred in the Wathoda area when four-year-old Trisha Balu Panbude lost her life after falling into a pot of hot curry. The accident happened during preparations for a family naming ceremony on October 14.
Trisha was playing nearby at the Wankhede family’s home in Shravan Nagar, where her parents were tenants. In a moment of misfortune, she accidentally fell into the large pot of curry, suffering severe burns that affected about 50% of her body.
Panic ensued among family members and onlookers as they rushed Trisha to a private hospital. Given the critical nature of her injuries, she was subsequently transferred to Government Medical College (GMC) for more intensive care. Tragically, despite the dedicated efforts of the medical staff, Trisha passed away on Monday.
Following this heartbreaking incident, the Wathoda police have registered a case of accidental death, and investigations are currently underway. The community is grieving the loss of young Trisha, sending their deepest condolences to her family during this unimaginable time.
