GMC Hospital has launched a formal inquiry into a concerning incident involving the alleged violation of privacy of a female doctor by a resident doctor. Promptly responding to the complaint, the hospital administration swiftly established a six-member committee to conduct a thorough investigation.
The resident doctors at GMC Hospital are provided with separate hostels, catering to both male and female medical professionals. On Thursday night, an alarming incident unfolded when a second-year female resident doctor was taking a bath. It was reported that a fellow resident doctor attempted to surreptitiously record a video using his mobile phone. However, the vigilant doctor noticed the intrusion and took immediate action.
In the wake of this incident, a complaint was lodged at the Superintendent's office on Friday afternoon. The Superintendent wasted no time in alerting the hostel warden, and a meeting was promptly organized with representatives of the resident doctors. To ensure a comprehensive investigation, a six-member committee led by Jayesh Mukhi was constituted to look into the matter thoroughly.
The hospital administration has expressed deep concern regarding the alleged privacy violation and emphasized its commitment to ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all medical professionals. The committee will diligently examine the evidence, interview relevant individuals, and gather all pertinent information to ascertain the facts surrounding the incident. Appropriate actions will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry, by the hospital's policies and legal regulations.
