GRP Busts Ganja Smugglers, Arrested Key Distributor in Nagpur

Nagpur, India: The Nagpur Crime Branch of the Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested a Ganja (Marijuana) distributor in a Naxal-affected region of Odisha.
The accused is engaged In the distribution of ganja to several northern states of Maharashtra, utilizing the railway route for transporting the illegal substance. The accused has been identified as Nepal Jagdish Durga, 31, a resident of Kesinga town in Kalahandi district, Odisha.
The investigation was initiated when the Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended three ganja smugglers at Nagpur railway station on July 13 of this year. Authorities confiscated 32 kg of ganja from their possession. During questioning, the smugglers disclosed that they had acquired the ganja from Nepal Durga.
The police launched a search for Durga. Following a tip-off, a team from the Government Railway Police (GRP), led by PSI Pravin Bhimte, ventured into the Naxal-affected region and successfully apprehended him.
