Hingna Police Arrest Two Men, Seize Stolen Goods Worth ₹1.84 Lakh

Hingna Police have successfully solved a robbery case, arresting two suspects and recovering stolen items worth ₹1.84 lakh, including mobile phones, ATM cards, and more.

Nagpur, India: Two men were arrested by Hingna Police on 20th January 2025 for robbing a man. The accused, Somesh Ravindra Dhavarale (19) and Vinade Singh Parihar (22), were quickly caught after a police operation.

The robbery took place when Pankaj Vitthal Bawankar (30) was riding his motorcycle near Shri Balaji Rajasthani Hotel on the Amravati Bypass Road. The robbers, riding a white two-wheeler, stopped him and stole his phone, wallet, ₹5,000 in cash, ATM cards, and other personal items. The total value of the stolen goods was ₹17,000.

After receiving the complaint, Hingna Police started an investigation. Using technology, they tracked down the suspects and caught them while they were riding a white Burgman moped.

The police found seven mobile phones, ATM cards, and other stolen items with the robbers. The suspects admitted to the crime.

The stolen items and moped were recovered, worth about ₹1,84,700.

The operation was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Lohit Matani and Assistant Commissioner of Police Satish Gurav. The police team involved in the case included officers Pankaj Bondse, Santosh Rathod, Arun Kambe, Kailash Chavan, Nagesh Dasarwar, Ajay Girdkar, Nandu Randkhe, Anand Wankhede, Atul Talmale, Kartik Hedau, Anil Jhade, Sanjeev Tayde, Hemant Lonare, Ravi Ahire, Nitin Vasnik, Swapnil Khodke, and Nitin Ingole.

Thanks to their quick action, the robbers were arrested and the stolen items were returned.
