Vidarbha, Gadchiroli, India: Dr. Premkumar Khobragade, an Ambedkarite thinker, emphasized that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s ‘Dhammakranti’ marked a transformative in the lives of Dalits through the path to Buddhism. This movement honoured a new era, fundamentally altering their existence.

Speaking at the Dhammachakra Pravartan Din program held at Samyak Buddha Vihar in Gokul Nagar, he urged attendees to actively promote the ideals of ‘Dhammakranti’. The event was organized in collaboration with the Samyak Samaj Samiti, Visakha Mahila Mandal, and the Samyak Senior Citizens Association.

The program was chaired by Hansraj Undirwade, the President of the Samyak Samaj Samiti. Guests included journalist Rohidas Raut, medical officer Dr. Khushal Durge, Haridas Kotarange from the Mali Samaj Sangathan, Kawduji Undirwade of the Senior Citizens Association, and Chandrakala Tembhurne from the Visakha Mahila Mandal.

Rohidas Raut expressed that the teachings of Buddha have spread worldwide due to their inherent values, which is a source of great pride for Buddhists as the Dhamma is being embraced internationally. He highlighted that Dr. Ambedkar’s revolutionary efforts have positively impacted all of humanity. Raut referred to the Dhammachakra Pravartan as a remarkable achievement by Babasaheb.

Other guests also spoke during the event, with Gautam Meshram delivering the introductory remarks. Namita Waghade served as the program conductor, while Ashwini Sakhre offered the vote of thanks.
