Nagpur, India: Hudkeshwar Police have registered a case of fraud against three individuals for allegedly deceiving a man in a land sale scam that resulted in a loss of ₹4.55 lakh.
The victim, Rakesh Ramchandra Panthe, a 40-year-old resident of Kalpataru Nagar, Besa Road, Nagpur, approached the first accused, Nitesh Kundalsing Sengar, 45, seeking assistance in purchasing a plot. Sengar, along with his associates, Ganesh Chindhvaj Yelekar, 40, of Bajrang Nagar, and Rajendra Nimbalkar, 45, of Alankar Nagar, Manewada, conspired to sell a plot they falsely claimed to own in Mouza Manewada, Nagpur.
Panthe paid the accused ₹4.55 lakh for the plot, only to later discover that the land did not belong to them. When he demanded his money back, the accused refused, effectively defrauding him of the entire amount.
Based on Panthe’s complaint, Police Sub-Inspector Athawale has filed charges under Sections 420, 467, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The police are actively searching for the accused, and further investigation is ongoing.
