Imambada Police Arrested a Man for Defrauding Three of Over Rs 3 Lakh
Imambada police have arrested Rupesh Shalikrao Dhurai for defrauding three individuals of Rs 3,03,120.

Nagpur, India- Imambada police have arrested Rupesh Shalikrao Dhurai for allegedly defrauding three individuals of Rs 3,03,120 by promising to sell them Bajaj Chetak scooters at reduced rates through a sports quota scheme.
Suraj Bhaskarrao Chopde, a 30-year-old resident of 104, Darshan Colony, Nandanvan, filed a complaint against Dhurai. Chopde reported that Dhurai, who resides at flat no. 302, Kamal Crist Apartment, had claimed that the market price of a Bajaj Chetak scooter was Rs 1.30 lakh. Dhurai promised Chopde that he could get the scooter for Rs 97,000 through a special sports quota.
After winning Chopde's trust, Dhurai took Rs 97,000 from him. Between March 31, 2022, and May 8, 2024, Dhurai also took money from Chopde's friends for the same promise. However, Dhurai failed to deliver the scooters and did not return the money.
Following this, Chopde approached the police. Based on his complaint, the police registered a case under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code against Dhurai. Imambada police are currently searching for Rupesh Dhurai.
