IMD issues a yellow alert for Vidarbha from April 11–13

The Weather Department forecasted mild to moderate showers in one or two locations in Vidarbha during the next 48 hours, while thunderstorms, hail, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) are expected to occur over the following three to four days in most of Vidarbha, including Nagpur.
The Weather Service has also issued a "Orange Alert" for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for April 9 and 10, in addition to Vidarbha. Tuesday morning saw some light rain in Nagpur, with 5.6 mm of precipitation falling before 8 a.m. The maximum temperature was lowered by partly cloudy skies, with Nagpur's daytime high of 34.5 degrees Celsius.
IMD states that in lower tropospheric levels, a trough/wind discontinuity extends from north Gujarat to south Tamil Nadu, and that a cyclonic circulation is located over the central regions of Madhya Maharashtra.
It is expected to cause isolated to scattered areas in West Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, as well as isolated to scattered areas in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Madhya Pradesh from April 9 to April 13.
