The India-Pakistan rivalry hasn't been all that interesting lately, with one-sided wins, drab storylines, and no clear standout character. The International Cricket Council predicted that this game would be the one to watch out for, the one to spend all of your money on, and the one that may offer the American audience a taste of a sport they have long refused to comprehend—despite the lack of excitement in the match lately. 

Though they would have sensed it, they probably still don't comprehend it. Most likely even felt bewilderedly engulfed in the feelings of two countries and their athletes prepared to risk their lives for a piece of history.

The majority of folks in the crowd who were supporting the Indians didn't require a tutorial on cricket. They made it clear that all they wanted was for their representatives to defeat Pakistan.
