The Indian Air Force Maintenance Command has successfully developed a cutting-edge 'Real Time Aircraft Tracking System,' providing aircraft location updates at 30-second intervals. Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, Commanding in Chief of the Air Force Maintenance Command, shared this groundbreaking achievement with the media in Nagpur.

During the interaction, Air Marshal Pande discussed the Air Maintenance Command's ongoing efforts to bolster the maintenance and operational readiness of the Indian Air Force. Emphasizing the incorporation of advanced technology into the Air Force, he highlighted a significant accomplishment made by one of the Base Repair Depots (BRD) under the Air Force Maintenance Command.

The BRD has created a satellite-based and indigenously developed 'Real Time Aircraft Tracking System,' enabling the Air Force to continuously monitor the precise location and path of their aircraft, with updates available every 30 seconds.

Additionally, Air Marshal Pande revealed future plans related to military transport aircraft. While 16 C295 aircraft will be produced in Spain, the remaining 40 will be manufactured in India by Tata Tall Company based in Gujarat. These versatile C295 aircraft will serve the Navy, Army, and Air Force's transportation needs, with the first four aircraft scheduled to arrive in India by September of this year
