Indian Railways Plans Over 1,000 Special Trains for Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Inauguration

The Indian Railways is set to operate over 1,000 special trains from various parts of the country for the grand inauguration of the newly-built Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on January 22. The special trains will facilitate pilgrims' travel to Ayodhya from major cities, and the operation is expected to continue for the first 100 days of the inauguration. The railways' catering and ticketing department is making arrangements for round-the-clock catering services and food stalls during the 10-15 days of the inauguration to accommodate the expected surge in devotees.
Indian Railways plans to run over 1,000 special trains from major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Nagpur, Lucknow, and Jammu to Ayodhya for the grand inauguration of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on January 22.
The operation of these special trains will commence on January 19 and continue for the first 100 days of the temple's grand inauguration, allowing devotees to visit Ayodhya.
Ayodhya station has been revamped to handle the expected high footfall during the special trains' operation.
The railways' catering and ticketing department is making arrangements for round-the-clock catering services during the 10-15 days of the inauguration. Several food stalls will also be set up to cater to the demand of the devotees.
The Ram Janmabhoomi Temple will be open to the public from January 23, a day after the consecration of Lord Sri Ram's idol. The installation ceremony is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The special train operation aims to facilitate the pilgrimage to Ayodhya for the devotees attending the historic inauguration of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.
