The IPL Chairman, Arun Dhumal, has confirmed that the highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash in the upcoming Asia Cup has been relocated to Sri Lanka. This decision was made after the Indian team chose not to travel to Pakistan. Dhumal provided details about the meeting between BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and PCB representative Zaka Ashraf, which took place prior to the ICC Board meeting scheduled for Thursday.

During their discussion, Shah and Ashraf focused on finalizing the schedule for the Asia Cup 2023. According to Dhumal, the meeting concluded successfully with the confirmation of the tournament schedule. The Asia Cup will feature four league-stage matches in Pakistan, followed by nine matches in Sri Lanka. In the event that both teams reach the final, the highly anticipated encounter between India and Pakistan, as well as a potential third game, will be held in Sri Lanka.
