Shein, the popular fast-fashion brand, is back in India after nearly five years. The company was banned in 2020 due to tensions between India and China. Now, it has relaunched in India through a partnership with Reliance Retail, owned by Mukesh Ambani.

The new app, Shein India Fast Fashion, is available in select cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. Shein will sell trendy and affordable clothes, with prices starting as low as ₹199. However, unlike before, all Shein-branded products will be made in India by local manufacturers.

Reliance will fully control the platform, and all customer data will be stored in India. Shein will act only as a technology partner and must follow strict security checks set by the Indian government.

This move is part of Reliance’s strategy to compete with online shopping giants like Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho. It also helps India’s textile industry by supporting local businesses.

Shein’s return is a big step in India’s fashion market, and with Reliance’s support, it aims to make a strong comeback.
