Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been in the news earlier for her connections with the conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. While the connection caused her a lot of turbulence in the past, she has been again in headlines for the same. She was summoned by the Enforecement Directorate (ED) now for the sixt time on the 10th of July due to same connection. She has constantly been denying knowing anything about the criminial activities and maintains her innicence. Before this she appeared before a Delhi court, describing Chandrashekhar's alleged manipulation and emotional turmoil inflicted upon her.
The 38-year-old Sri Lankan-origin actress's name surfaced in an alleged cheating case totaling approximately ₹200 crore, which also involves high-profile individuals like Aditi Singh, wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh. Reports by ED suggests that Chandrashekhar has used funds to purchase high-end gifts for Jacqueline who he was romantically linked with. The said gifts include a persian cat, arabian horse, getaways, etc. Since the investigation began, Jacqueline Fernandez has also been prohibited from leaving the country, with an active look out circular against her. This measure resulted in her brief detention at Mumbai International Airport in 2021.
