Nagpur, India: Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, emphasized the critical role education plays in shaping democracy and driving India's development towards becoming a fully developed nation by 2047. Speaking at the inauguration of the Digital Tower at Ramdeobaba University (RBU), Dhankhar highlighted India's exponential economic growth, stating that India is no longer a "sleeping giant" but an unstoppable force on the global stage.

Dhankhar acknowledged the progress India has made in eradicating corruption, ensuring equality before the law, and positioning itself as a land of hope and opportunity. He credited the youth of the country as key stakeholders in this journey, once held back by corruption and privileged pedigrees but now equipped with equal opportunities.

"Today, middlemen are removed, corruption in power corridors has been neutralized, and global institutions view India as a favored destination for investment," he said, adding that the world is now recognizing India's achievements in land, sky, and space.

At the event, Dhankhar inaugurated the Digital Tower alongside dignitaries including Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan, former Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The new facility at RBU is expected to serve as a hub for innovation and technology, enhancing student talent through cutting-edge infrastructure.

The Vice President also commended Banwarilal Purohit for his lifelong dedication to education, praising his ethical and moral contribution to society. “Education is a service, not commerce,” Dhankhar remarked, encouraging others to carry forward Purohit's legacy.

In his address, Fadnavis highlighted the Maharashtra Government's efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure in the state, fostering efficiency and transparency in governance. Purohit also emphasized the importance of values-driven academics in nation-building.

The event concluded with the national anthem, leaving attendees inspired by the vision for India's future intertwined with education, innovation, and technological advancements.
