Nagpur, India: A bullion trader and his nephew were attacked by masked robbers in Pipla (Dak-Banglow) near Khaparkheda on Wednesday evening. The gang fired a shot in the air to scare them before escaping with 1 kg of gold, 15 kg of silver, ₹1.25 lakh in cash, and their car.

The trader, Ravindra Musale, owns Niharika Jewellery at Bazaar Square in Pipla. He decided to close early due to heavy rain and poor street lighting. As he and his nephew locked the shop and placed their valuables in the car (MH-40/CH-8993), the robbers suddenly appeared.

One of them pulled out a gun and fired in the air to stop anyone from interfering. He then punched Musale, pushed him aside, and jumped into the driver’s seat. His accomplices quickly got in, and they sped off towards Nagpur, leaving the victims stunned.

Eyewitnesses say around six robbers were involved, all covering their faces. Police believe the gang had been watching Musale’s routine and knew he carried jewellery and cash in a bag. The way the robbery was carried out suggests it was planned in advance.

The police are now checking CCTV footage and speaking to locals for clues. They have assured that all efforts are being made to catch the robbers and recover the stolen valuables.
