Jewellery worth ₹2 lakh stolen from a Puja ghar in Nagpur while the family attended a wedding. Police have registered a burglary case.

Nagpur, India: Jewellery worth ₹2 lakh was stolen from a Puja ghar in the Hudkeshwar Police Station area while the family was away attending a wedding.
The incident occurred at the home of Gunwant Laxmanrao Dongre (76), a retired senior clerk from the Revenue Department and a resident of Vidhnyan Nagar. According to the police, Dongre and his family left for Amravati on Sunday morning. Taking advantage of the empty house, the thief broke in through the back door and stole a purse containing the jewellery from a basket near the Puja ghar.
The theft came to light when the family returned around 9 pm. Dongre filed a complaint at Hudkeshwar Police Station, and a case of burglary has been registered.
