Nagpur, India: Mahavitaran has launched a new lucky draw scheme to encourage customers to pay their electricity bills online. With over 70% of the state’s consumers already using online payment methods, the initiative aims to further boost digital transactions.

According to the scheme, customers who pay their electricity bills online three times in a row will qualify for a chance to win prizes such as smartphones and smartwatches through a lucky draw. The scheme is open to all low-pressure electricity consumers, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Yogesh Vitankar, Deputy Chief Public Relations Officer of Mahavitaran, announced that the scheme will be valid for bills paid between January 1 and May 31, 2025. Additionally, customers who begin paying their bills online after March 31, 2024, and continue for three consecutive months will also be eligible.

To ensure fairness, three separate lucky draws will be conducted online at the subdivision level in April, May, and June 2025. However, customers with outstanding dues will be disqualified from participating.

Mahavitaran hopes this initiative will encourage more people to adopt online payment methods, making the process more efficient and user-friendly.
