Maintenance Work to Cause 20-Hour Water Shutdown in Nagpur Areas

Nagpur to face a 20-hour water supply shutdown on December 10 due to maintenance work on Hudkeshwar and Narsala Tapping. Multiple areas will experience disruptions.

Nagpur, India: Orange City Water (OCW) has announced a planned 20-hour water supply shutdown on December 10, starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 6 a.m. on December 11. The shutdown is necessary to replace a flow meter on the Hudkeshwar and Narsala Tapping near the Container Yard.

The following areas will experience water supply disruption during this time:

Omkar Nagar Command Area: Includes Gajanan Nagar, Jaiwant Nagar, Swaraj Nagar, Gurudev Nagar, Indraprastha Society, Vanrai Nagar, Shrihari Nagar, Sadbhavana Nagar, and surrounding localities.

Proposed Omkar Nagar Command Area: Green Planet Colony, Mangaldeep Nagar, Kalpataru Nagar, Aaradhana Nagar, and nearby areas.

Jogi Nagar Amrut Command Area: Covers Jogi Nagar, Kashi Nagar, Ramteke Nagar, Fulmati Layout, Ekta Nagar, and adjoining regions.

Hudkeshwar Command Area: Includes Amar Nagar, Mahakali Nagar, Saraswati Nagar, Vinayak Nagar, Mahalaxmi Nagar, and adjacent neighbourhoods.

Nalanda Nagar Command Area: Chandra Nagar, Bhagwan Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Parvati Nagar, and nearby localities.

Shri Nagar Command Area: Covers Shilpa Society, Sunderban Layout, Saket Nagar, Guru Datta Society, and surrounding areas.

Sakkardara Areas (1, 2 & 3): Sevadal Nagar, Ayodhya Nagar, Sacchidanand Nagar, New Subedar Layout, Rukmini Nagar, Sartaj Colony, and nearby regions.

Affected ESRs: Chandrabhaga, Sambhaji Nagar, Bharat Mata, and Tajeshwar Nagar ESRs.

Residents in these areas are advised to store adequate water in advance and use it judiciously during the shutdown period. OCW has assured that the replacement work will be completed on time and has requested the cooperation of citizens.
