Nagpur, India: A man accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl was arrested after being on the run for 21 days. Shudamay Rana, 31, from Arjuni, Morgaon in Gondia, was caught at a spiritual gathering (Satsang) in Badlapur, Thane.

The girl reported that Rana tricked her into believing he would marry her and then forced her into sexual relations multiple times since January of last year. As a result, she became pregnant and had to undergo an abortion. The incidents occurred in Wadsa when the girl was under 18 years old.

Police are investigating the case further and are committed to ensuring justice for the victim.
