Nagpur , India - A man has been accused of raping a 23-year-old woman after promising to marry her. The incident reportedly took place in the Shanti Nagar area, and the local police have taken action by arresting the accused, identified as 23-year-old Firoz Khan Niamat Khan from Amravati.

The victim and Khan knew each other and had been in contact for some time. According to the victim's account, Khan expressed his love for her and promised marriage. On April 17, Khan visited her residence and initiated a sexual relationship, reaffirming his commitment to marry her.

However, when the victim later pressed Khan about their marriage plans, he avoided the topic. Eventually, when she confronted him for the last time about getting married, he outright refused. Feeling betrayed, the woman reported the incident to the Shanti Nagar police station.

The police have registered a case, and investigations are ongoing to address this serious accusation.
