Man Arrested in Pardi for Carrying Deadly Weapon, Disturbing Public Order

Nagpur, India: A man was arrested in Pardi on September 17, 2024, for carrying a deadly weapon in public and causing a disturbance. The police patrol team, while conducting a routine check near Center Point School in Chandranagar.
Acting on the information about a man, dressed in a white T-shirt and grey pants, shouting in a public space. Police searched and made a trap to catch the deadly weapon-poised man.
The police arrived at the scene and detained the individual, identified as Sachin Rupchand Wasnik, 35, a resident of Diamond Nagar, near Navmaharashtra School, Nandanvan. Upon searching him, the officers found a steel knife worth ₹200 tucked into his waistband, which was promptly seized.
A complaint was lodged by the police at Pardi Station, and Sub-Inspector Shinde has filed charges under Sections 4 and 25 of the Arms Act, as well as Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act. Wasnik was arrested for violating the law by carrying a dangerous weapon in a public place. The investigation is ongoing.
