Man Dies After Car Collides with Parked Truck on Wardha Road Flyover

38-year-old man killed in a car accident on Wardha Road flyover after colliding with a parked truck; police register case against truck driver for improper parking.

Nagpur, India: A 38-year-old man was killed in a tragic accident on Tuesday morning after his speeding car crashed into a stationary truck on the Wardha Road flyover, connecting Ajni Square to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport.

The victim, identified as Mohammad Farooq Mohammad Harul, was a resident of Bunkar Colony, Islampura, New Kamptee. He was driving his Hyundai Santro (MH31/CM-3279) around 10:15 a.m. when the accident occurred.

According to police, an Eicher truck (MH-40/Y-0698) carrying a consignment was parked improperly on the flyover. Farooq lost control of his car and collided with the truck, sustaining critical injuries. He was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) but succumbed during treatment.

Based on the statement of Muhammad Muzammil Mohammad Ashfaq, a servant of the deceased, Dhantoli Police registered a case against the truck driver, Vinod Sanjay Naik (35), under Sections 106(1) and 125(a, b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Naik, a resident of Pulgaon, Deoli, in Wardha district, is now under investigation.

Police have urged drivers to avoid unsafe parking on busy flyovers to prevent such incidents in the future.
