India: Max is a movie featuring Kiccha Sudeep, and it’s being released at the same time on TV and online streaming platforms. You can watch it in four different languages: Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Max, the biggest Kannada movie of 2024, released in theaters for Christmas. Directed by Vijay Kartikeyaa and starring Kiccha Sudeep, it was expected to be available on OTT by January 2025. However, instead, a world television premiere was announced first. This surprised many people, as it’s unusual for a movie to come on TV before streaming.

It turns out the satellite and digital rights for Max had already been sold, and the network decided to try something new by releasing the film to everyone at the same time. Max just launched on Zee5 for streaming and also started showing on Zee Kannada. No matter what device you use, you can watch Max anywhere. Whether this will be a smart move will depend on the TRP and streaming numbers Zee Network shares after the premiere.

Max was released over two and a half years after Kiccha Sudeep’s last film, Vikrant Rona. The actor took time to decide on his next project, and when he finally announced it, there was excitement about a quick shoot for a mid-2024 release. However, filming took place entirely in Mahabalipuram, Chennai, and their schedules were delayed due to floods. The film was eventually completed and planned for a September release, just in time for Sudeep’s birthday.
