In a significant operation, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch raided a prostitution den in the Nandanvan slum area, rescuing a 15-year-old minor girl. The raid led to the arrest of Prachi Don and her husband Akash Somkuwar.
The accused have been identified as Prachi, also known as Don Maroti Pal or Prachi Aakash Somkuwar, 23, and her husband Akash, alias Badshah Annaji Somkuwar, 33, both residents of Lane No 10.
According to police reports, Prachi recently assaulted a female friend in public, earning her the nickname "Don" in the locality. Investigations revealed that Prachi and Akash had been coercing minor girls into prostitution. Acting on a tip-off, the SSB swiftly conducted the raid and apprehended the duo.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
