Missing Girl Found After Six Years, Accused Arrested by Dahegaon Police
Dahegaon Police successfully rescued a young girl who went missing six years ago and apprehended the man responsible for luring her away. The girl was found in Madhya Pradesh, and the accused, Pradip Gonvidrao Mende, is facing charges under the IPC. Nagpur, India: In a remarkable operation, Dahegaon Police rescued a young woman who had been missing for six years since the age of 15. She was located in Piplagarh village, Madhya Pradesh, and the man accused of luring her to elope, Kavaddu alias Pradip Gonvidrao Mende, has been apprehended.
The case dates back to December 24, 2018, when the victim’s father complained to Dahegaon Police Station. He alleged that Mende, a resident of Koppara (Chanki) village, had abducted his minor daughter. Police registered the case under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code.
Following a parallel investigation led by the Local Crime Branch and Immoral Human Traffic Prevention Cell, crucial leads were uncovered. Acting on these, a police team raided the accused's residence in Madhya Pradesh. The victim was rescued and safely brought back under the law's protection, while the accused was taken into custody.
The operation was conducted under the instructions of Superintendent of Police Anurag Jain, Additional SP Dr. Sagar Kawade, and PI Vinod Chaudhary. Officers from the Local Crime Branch, Cyber Cell, and Immoral Traffic Prevention Cell, including PSI Balaji Lalpalwale, Subhash Raut, and others, played pivotal roles in the mission.
This successful rescue underscores the commitment of law enforcement to protect vulnerable individuals and deliver justice. The young woman is now in safe hands, and further legal proceedings are underway.
