The political community has heated up over the incident involving a drunken woman (Ritika Maloo) who killed two innocent bike riders with her Mercedes car on Ramjhula. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat has commented on the matter, questioning, "When women from wealthy homes drink, drive, and crush the innocent, where are our Sanskar?"

Speaking at the last of the RSS's Workers Development Class-II at Reshminbagh, he stated, "We talk about sanskar, traditions and culture, but when a woman from a rich family drives and kills people, we must ask where our traditions and culture are. We are the bearers of culture and must uphold it. The growing consumerist lifestyle has created challenges in passing our culture, thoughts, and customs to the new generations. For this, various enlightened individuals in society must exercise restraint, and the government must implement provisions to address this issue."

He encouraged that society should not engage in a competition of consumption and should embrace simplicity. "Eating pizza, pasta, and burgers should not become a lifestyle. The most important thing is that everyone should follow the laws of the country—vehicles must stop at red signals. Tax payments should be made on time," he added.

However, the question remains: why hasn't Ritika Maloo been arrested yet? Ritika Maloo is still absconding, and the police have not held her. On February 25, 2024, around midnight, Ritika Maloo was driving a Mercedes at high speed and crashed into two bike-riding youths from behind on Ramjhula. Mohammad Hussain Ghulam Mustafa (34) of Nalsaheb Chowk and Mohammad Atif Mohammad Zai (34) of Jafarnagar, were killed in this accident. Despite a "look-out notice" issued against her, Ritika Maloo has not been located. Her last known location was in Rajasthan on May 24, after which her phone has been switched off. How the police are tracking her and what progress they have made is still taboo.
