MSRTC Driver Helps Pregnant Woman on Labor, in Hinganghat
An MSRTC bus driver saved a pregnant woman by rushing her to the hospital. The incident highlights concerns over ambulance shortages.

Vidarbha, Wardha, India: The driver of the MSRTC bus saved the life of a pregnant woman who delivered the baby before reaching Hinganghat Sub-District Hospital on Friday morning. Sadly, her baby could not be saved.
Jamnuna Subhash Jadhav from Dhumankheda village in Samudrapur Tehsil was going to Sub District Hospital for a pre-delivery check-up in the bus (MH-40/Y-5007) of Umred depot of MSRTC.
Another woman travelling on the bus told the driver that Jamuna was in labour. Acting quickly and wisely, bus driver Vikram Katkar and conductor Sheshrao Kandalkar drove the vehicle to Sub District Hospital. But doctors declared her baby dead on reaching the hospital.
She is recovering and remains under hospital observation. Depot manager Shedmake and Pradeep Shende visited the hospital and inquired about the health of the woman. Some individuals have raised concerns about the lack of ambulances
