Nagpur, India: A fight over Rs 300 led to a murder in Shanti Nagar on Sunday afternoon. The victim, Shubham Harne (30), lived in Kawrapeth. The accused, Prayag Asole (28) and his brother Akshay Asole (26), also from Kawrapeth, have been arrested.

According to the police, Shubham and Prayag were friends who often drank alcohol and smoked ganja together. The problem started two days earlier when Shubham reportedly abused and slapped Akshay over a t-shirt.

Akshay had bought a t-shirt online for Rs 300 on Friday. It did not fit him, so he gave it to Shubham, who kept it. When Akshay later asked for the Rs 300, Shubham refused at first. Later, he threw the money at Akshay, which led to an argument. Shubham then slapped Akshay and walked away.

Prayag was furious when he heard about this. On Sunday morning, he went to Shubham’s house and invited him for a talk. Shubham, unaware of the danger, went along. They went to the Kawrapeth flyover, where their talk turned into a fight.

During the fight, Prayag took out a cutter and stabbed Shubham in the neck. Shubham collapsed, bleeding heavily, while Prayag and Akshay ran away.

The police arrived soon after and took Shubham’s body to Mayo Hospital. A murder case has been registered, and both accused are now in custody.

Police officials revealed that all three—Shubham, Prayag, and Akshay—have criminal records with past cases of violence against them. The investigation is ongoing.
