Nagpur Anti-Narcotics Cell Seizes Rs 30 Lakh Worth of MD, Arrests Four

Nagpur, India- In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Crime Branch arrested four drug smugglers and seized Mephedrone (MD) powder worth Rs 30 lakh. The arrested individuals are Azharuddin Rahimuddin Kazi (37) from Mahendra Nagar, Irfan Shabbir Ahmed (21) from Timki, Nadeem Khan Naseem Khan (24) from Shanti Nagar, and Syed Sohail Ali, also known as Shobu (25), from Navi Vasti Teka.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dr. Abhijeet Patil received a tip-off about a large consignment of MD being transported in the city. Acting on this information, a team led by ACP Patil set up a trap in the Mahendra Nagar area. During the operation, the police arrested the four smugglers and seized 306 grams of MD from them. However, three suspects - Zubair Afsar Shaikh from Shivdi, Sanu Salamuddin Qazi from Haiderpura, Amravati, and Sheikh Atiq from Shanti Nagar - managed to escape and are now wanted by the police.
The operation included Police Inspector Gajanan Gulhane, Assistant Police Inspectors Manoj Ghurde, Assistant Sub-Inspector Siddharth Patil, and team members Vivek Adhau, Manoj Neware, Suraj Bhanawat, Shailesh Dobole, Pawan Gajbhiye, Rashid Sheikh, Rohit Kale, Sahdev Chikhale, Subhash Gajbhiye, Sheshrao Rewatkar, and Anup Yadav.
