Nagpur City Police Crack Down On Liquor, Gambling, and Traffic Violations
Nagpur City Police's crackdown on liquor, gambling, and traffic violations resulted in significant fines and seizures.

Nagpur, August 7, 2024 –On August 6, 2024, Nagpur City Police acted within the police station's jurisdiction under the Maharashtra Liquor Prohibition Act. In 3 cases, action was taken against 3 individuals, and property worth ₹2,070 was seized. Additionally, under the Gambling Act, action was taken against 1 individual in 1 case, with property worth ₹320 being seized.
The Traffic Branch of the police took action against a total of 2,261 vehicle drivers under various sections of the Motor Vehicle Act, collecting a total of ₹3,77,150 in settlement fines.
All these operations were conducted collectively by Nagpur City Police, and effective actions will continue in the future. Citizens are urged to follow traffic rules and keep all vehicle-related documents with them while driving.
