On Thursday, Nagpur cyber police warned the public about fake bank apps. They have received reports of WhatsApp messages from unknown sources requesting bank details.

The cyber police revealed that Union Bank of India customers were scammed after downloading APK files sent from an unknown number with a bank-like display picture. The customers entered their details, allowing scammers to steal money from their accounts.

To avoid fraud, customers should contact their bank at 1800-208-2244 or reach out to the cyber police at 1930 if they encounter any suspicious activity or need to report a scam.
