The Nagpur District Diamond Jubilee Weekend Open Rapid Chess Tournament is set to take place at Naivedhyam Eastoria, Kalamna, Nagpur on July 22-23, as announced by KK Barat, Secretary of the Nagpur District Chess Association (NDCA) in a press release.

Organized and conducted by the Nagpur District Chess Association, the two-day event will kick off with an inauguration ceremony at 5:00 pm on July 22 and will resume at 9:00 am on Sunday. The time control for the games will be 15 minutes with a 10-second increment for each move, and a maximum of nine rounds will be played.

Participants can register by paying an entry fee of Rs 500, with the last date for registration being July 21 between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm. The total prize fund for the tournament is Rs 75,000, which will be distributed among the top finishers, along with attractive trophies.

Trophies will also be awarded to the top 5 boys and top 5 girls in age categories U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13, and U-15. Additionally, an extra Rs 500 along with trophies will be given to the 1st and 2nd boys and girls in age categories U-7, U-9, U-11, and U-13.
