Nagpur, India: As assembly elections draw near, the district administration is finalizing preparations to facilitate a smooth and peaceful voting process. They are implementing special measures to prevent disturbances at polling stations, including the introduction of webcasting for real-time monitoring. On election day, all polling stations will be monitored directly from the district collector’s office.
The district administration is tasked with maintaining a peaceful voting process. To achieve this, they have made specific arrangements, such as identifying polling stations where irregularities were reported in past elections.
These polling stations will receive increased scrutiny, with enhanced surveillance measures in place. Webcasting, which was effective during the Lok Sabha elections, will be used again to improve security and transparency.
The district is segmented into 12 constituencies, comprising a total of 4,610 polling stations for the elections. Out of these, six constituencies are located in rural areas, featuring 2,452 polling stations, while the other six are situated in Nagpur city, which has 2,158 polling stations.
To enhance security, CCTVs will be set up outside polling stations to monitor activities in the vicinity and deter any potential disruptions. These measures demonstrate the administration’s dedication to a fair and transparent electoral process, with webcasting and CCTV surveillance being crucial in maintaining security and accountability at all polling stations in the district.
