Nagpur, India: A 30-year-old man, Pramod Nimje, was arrested on January 29, 2025, for allegedly molesting a 16-year-old girl in Nagpur. The incident occurred near Chandni Chowk, where the accused reportedly stalked the girl and harassed her.

The girl's mother filed a complaint with the police, stating that Nimje had been aggressive and that her daughter had stopped talking to him. Angry about this, he followed the girl, verbally abused her, and physically assaulted her with a handkerchief. He also entered the family’s home and misbehaved with the minor.

The police registered a case against Nimje under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 74, 75(1), 78(1), 79, 115(2), 296, 333, and 351(3), as well as Sections 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The accused has been arrested, and further investigations are underway.
