Nagpur, India: A 30-year-old man, Nehal Ravindra Patil, has been accused of raping a 27-year-old woman in Nagpur after pretending to want to marry her. The Koradi police have filed a formal complaint regarding the case.

The two met on a matrimonial site and started talking frequently on the phone. Nehal later visited the woman’s home and gained the trust of her family by promising to marry her.

However, he then took advantage of her trust. Nehal allegedly took the woman to a lodge in Mankapur, where he drugged her with a spiked drink, causing her to faint. While she was unconscious, he is accused of taking inappropriate photos and videos of her. When she confronted him afterward, Nehal reportedly assaulted her and threatened her life.

The brave victim has now filed a complaint with the Koradi police, who have launched an investigation and charged Nehal with rape and assault. Authorities are urging anyone with more information about this case to come forward. This incident highlights the need for awareness and caution in online matrimonial interactions to protect individuals from similar situations.
