Nagpur, India: A 27-year-old man, Kartik Chaubey, was fatally stabbed by his friends following a drunken argument near Sahu Garden in Somwari Quarters on Monday morning.

The incident occurred after Kartik and his friends had been drinking alcohol on Sunday night. During the argument that followed, Kartik reportedly threw a beer bottle at one of the accused, triggering a violent response. In retaliation, the accused stabbed Kartik, leading to his death on the spot.

Sakardhara police have registered a murder case and are investigating the matter. Early reports suggest that both the victim and the accused had criminal backgrounds.

The incident highlights the increasing concern over public drinking in Nagpur and raises questions about safety and law enforcement in the city.
