The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and the police worked together to clear blocked city roads from unlicensed street vendors and unauthorized attachments by shop owners. They started in the morning and continued throughout the day, cleaning up various city areas. They focused on Sitabuldi Main Road, where they allowed two-way traffic for an experiment.

During the operation, surprised street vendors temporarily stopped their business and waited to see what the authorities would do. Some argued with the officials and were asked to show their licenses. Those without licenses were told to leave or risk losing their items. They also used an excavator to remove unauthorized extensions that shop owners had built onto the pedestrian walkway or road. Sheds that were encroaching on the road were taken down, and the seized materials were kept.

The police explained to shop owners that their businesses would thrive better if the roads were clear of obstructions, making it easier for people to visit and park in the bustling market. Different teams worked in various places to clear the streets of encroachments. For example, in Sitabuldi, officials from NMC's Dharampeth Zone and Sitabuldi police station were present. Another team removed encroachments in Gandhibagh Zone, seizing goods from roadside vendors along Mahal to Badkas Chowk, Lakdapul to Zenda Chowk, and Badkas Chowk to Ram Cooler Chowk.

This action was led by Assistant Commissioner Harish Raut and Superintendent Sanjay Kamble, along with officials like Vinod Kokarde, Narendra Totewar, Manohar Rathod, and their team. They aimed to make the city roads cleaner and more accessible for everyone.
