Nagpur, India: Following strict orders from Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary, the encroachment removal and cleanliness efforts in the Seminary Hills area have gained momentum. On Tuesday, October 22, Dr. Chaudhary personally inspected the area, reviewing the encroachment removal work from Seminary Hills to Ambazari T-Point.

During the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Prakash Varade, Solid Waste Management Director Dr. Gajendra Mahalle, and Zonal Sanitation Officer Deendayal Tembhekar, along with other municipal staff, were present.

Dr. Chaudhary reviewed the progress in key areas, including TV Tower Square, CGO Complex Square, LAD College Square, and Air Force Nagar Square, and urged residents to voluntarily remove encroachments along the roads. His visit had an immediate effect, with many citizens seen clearing encroachments themselves by the next day.

In addition to encroachment, the Commissioner inspected cleanliness efforts from Futala Lake to Ambazari T-Point. He expressed satisfaction with the work done and emphasized the importance of maintaining regular cleanliness in these areas.

At Birsa Munda Square near Futala Lake, Dr. Chaudhary observed a garbage issue, where residents were dumping waste along the roadside. He directed the IEC team to launch an awareness campaign, encouraging locals to use municipal garbage trucks for waste disposal. For areas where garbage trucks cannot easily access, he suggested placing large bins along the roadside for proper waste collection.

The Commissioner also visited the Dharampeth Zone's waste transfer station on Ambazari Road. During his visit, complaints were raised about external vehicles dumping construction debris near the station. Dr. Chaudhary instructed that iron mesh be installed around the area to prevent any uncleanliness near the station.
