Nagpur Crime Branch Arrests 21-year-old Drug Peddler; MD and Rs 1 Lakh Assets Seized
Nagpur Police arrested a 21-year-old drug peddler in Hanuman Nagar on October 24, seizing 8 grams of mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 20,000, along with a Honda Activa and mobile phone, valued at Rs 1 lakh.

Nagpur, India: In the early hours of October 24, Ajni Police successfully detained a drug peddler, leading to the seizure of 8 grams of the narcotic substance mephedrone (MD) worth approximately Rs 20,000, along with a Honda Activa scooter and a mobile phone.
The accused, 21-year-old Karansingh Mahendra Singh Thakur from Lane No. 06 in Indra Nagar, Jaripatka, was identified during a routine police patrol. Officers inspected the Trikoni Ground in Hanuman Nagar as part of their patrol activities.
Upon spotting the police, Karansingh attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended on suspicion. During a search, officers found a packet containing mephedrone, which they immediately seized.
In addition, police confiscated a cellphone and a Honda Activa, collectively valued at Rs 1 lakh, from Karansingh. He faces charges under Sections 8(c) and 22(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Senior PI Nitin Chandra Rajkumar and his team made the arrest.
