Nagpur Police Arrest Man with Knife for Causing Disturbance in Nandanvan

Nagpur Police arrested a man in Nandanvan for carrying a knife and causing a disturbance. Authorities took immediate action, seizing the weapon and charging him with violating public order.

Nagpur, India: In a swift action on January 17, 2025, Nandanvan Police arrested a man for carrying a knife and disturbing the peace of the locality.

The police team was patrolling the area when they received a tip-off about a person causing a ruckus near Danish Lawn, Hassanbagh. Upon reaching the location, the police detained a man and discovered a sharp iron knife in his possession.

The accused, identified as 38-year-old Jainuddin Mohammad Rauf Ansari from Hassanbagh, Nandanvan, was caught in the act while carrying the weapon. The knife, valued at ₹500, was confiscated from him.

Further investigation revealed that Ansari had violated a ban order, and he was arrested under sections 4, and 25 of the Arms Act and section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act. The police have registered a case and continue their investigation.
