Nagpur police solve a Rs. 1.5 lakh robbery case with CCTV evidence, arresting four suspects, including two tracked down in Ujjain.

Nagpur, India: Police in Nagpur have arrested four suspects, including a juvenile, for a robbery that happened on 11 January 2025. A shopkeeper was attacked near Indira Colony, Jaripatka, and robbed of Rs. 1.5 lakh in cash and some documents.
The 55-year-old shopkeeper was heading home after closing his shop when a man wearing a black jacket stopped him around 9:50 PM. When the shopkeeper refused to hand over his bag, the man attacked him. Three more people joined in, and one of them stabbed the shopkeeper before grabbing the bag and running away.
The attackers split up, fleeing in different directions. They even scared onlookers by waving a knife, stopping anyone from helping.
The police reviewed 150 CCTV clips from the area and identified a black Hero Splendor Plus motorcycle used by the robbers. On 18 January, officers arrested three suspects from Shantinagar: Vicky Narendra Dhuware (18), Sujal Anand Patil (22) and A juvenile
During questioning, they admitted to the robbery and named two others, Rishabh Agrawal (25) and Yash Gondane (24), who had fled to Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. A police team tracked them down and brought them back to Nagpur.
The motorcycle used in the robbery was seized. The juvenile has been sent to a correctional home, while the other suspects are in police custody until 22 January.
The quick action by the police, led by Deputy Commissioner Niketan Kadam and Senior Inspector Arun Kshirsagar, has been widely appreciated. The investigation is still ongoing.
