Nagpur, India: On December 5, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch successfully busted a sex racket in the Juni Shukrawari area under Kotwali Police Station, following a tip-off about illegal human trafficking. The operation, which lasted from 2:35 pm to 7:45 pm, resulted in the rescue of two women and the arrest of three suspects.
The raid was conducted at the residence of Rajni Suryawanshi, located on the first floor near Sugat Buddha Vihar in Old Shukrawari, Nagpur. The arrested individuals have been identified as Komal Gautam Shende (35), a resident of Rambagh, Imamwada; Sunita Vilas Shirsat (50), who lived at the same address as Shende; and Rajni Ashok Suryawanshi (57), the owner of the property and resident of the raid location.
During the operation, the police seized items valued at ₹56,020, including three mobile phones worth ₹50,000, cash, and other goods.
The accused were charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 143(2), 4, and 3(5), as well as sections 4, 5, and 7 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) 1956.
All seized items and related documents have been handed over to Kotwali Police Station for further investigation. The operation was led by Inspector Kavita Isarkar from the Social Security Wing of the Nagpur Crime Branch.
