Nagpur Police Crack Down on Burglary Gang, Recover Rs 12.79 Lakh in Stolen Goods

Nagpur, India: Nagpur’s Crime Branch Unit-3, under the leadership of Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singal, arrested two members of a burglary gang involved in five house break-ins across the city. The arrests led to the recovery of stolen goods worth Rs 12.79 lakh, including 167.5 grams of gold, Rs 27,000 in cash, and a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle.

The suspects, identified as Sandeep Khemchand Thombre (24) from Dunda Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, and Prafulla Devendra Patle (26) from Nageshwar Nagar, Nagpur, confessed to burglaries in the Jaripatka, Hudkeshwar, and Wathoda areas during interrogation.

Four accomplices—Shekhar Arjun Gaikwad, Aakash Bokde, Ajay Bhorkar, and Rakesh Chaturvedi—remain large. Based on intelligence, Crime Branch officers arrested Thombre and Patle, leading to the recovery of the stolen items. The suspects have been handed over to Jaripatka Police for further investigation.
