Nagpur, India: Ahead of the India vs England ODI series, a surprising incident took place in Nagpur. The police stopped Raghavendra, a support staff member of the Indian cricket team, from entering the hotel.

The series is set to start on February 6, with the first match at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur. Raghavendra, the team’s throwdown specialist, got off the second bus and was heading towards the other players when police mistakenly thought he was a fan. Some spectators recognised him and informed the officers that he was part of the team. Raghu, known for his calm nature, handled the situation and was allowed to go with the team.

Raghavendra has been with the Indian team for over ten years and is an important part of the support staff. He was praised by former coach Ravi Shastri for his contribution to the team.

Raghavendra’s journey to cricket wasn’t easy. Coming from Karnataka, he left home as a child to chase his dream. After facing many struggles, he was recognised for his skills in local cricket, and later turned to coaching after an injury ended his playing career.

The ODI series between India and England starts on February 6 in Nagpur. After that, the team will play in Cuttack and Gujarat before heading to Dubai for the Champions Trophy.
