The Nagpur Division of Central Railway's Commercial Department reached a new milestone by surpassing all other railway stations in the NSG-2 category in terms of revenue generated from station advertising media. Under the direction of Divisional Railway Manager Shri. Tushar Kant Pandey, Nagpur Railway Station accomplished this accomplishment.

The Division recently awarded 3 more non-fare revenue contracts for platform numbers 2/3, 4/5, and 6/7 via non-digital media in an online auction. The yearly revenue from these new contracts is Rs. 76.20 lakhs. With this new revenue, Nagpur Railway Station's annual earnings from advertisement rights across multiple digital and non-digital media are now up to Rs. 1.46 Cr. This income is generated by advertising immediately on dual display TVs, video walls, jingle announcements in public address systems, 3D LED globes, and various sign boards and glow signboard media.

All railway stations are ranked by Indian Railways according to their average foot traffic and passenger revenue. The NSG-2 stations are those with annual passenger footfall of more than 10 million but fewer than 20 million and passenger profits of more than Rs. 100 Crs. but less than Rs. 500 Crs. Nagpur is one of the 77 stations on the Indian Railways that are designated as NSG-2 stations.

The current contracts were finalised through marketing meetings with many large brands and numerous phone calls to different advertising agencies to ensure competitive bidding. Under the direction of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Ashutosh Shrivastava, Chief Commercial Inspectors carried out the marketing operation.  to make sure these assets are as profitable as possible. 14 Non-Fare revenue contracts have already been awarded by the Division in the first two months of the fiscal year.
